BERT STERN [AVANT GARDE / MARILYN MONROE .] Group of 5 pieces. 1968. Various sizes. Various conditions, generally A. Large, uncut printer's pages for the 1968 "Marilyn Monrow Trip" issue of Avant Garde magazine feautring the cover and brilliant psychedellic serigraphed images of the sex kitten. Also included is a published brochure entitled "MM / BS 6/21/62" with all the serigraphs bound together, and a scarf bearing all of the images. Stern was the last photographer to shoot the star before her untimely death, and 6 years after the infamous shoot he developed "an amalgam of the dramatic technique of serigraphy and the blazing colors of Day-Glo ink" which he used in the magazine to startling results.
